Logging into the Ratton School Website

Members of the Ratton School Community (students, teachers, governors and parents) can log into this website to view extra information and sections unavailable otherwise.

If you are a student or member of staff please use your school username and password. If you are a parent you will need to enter your email address and Ratton website password (which is different from Parents’ Gateway). If you do not yet have an account, please click here to register.

If parents experience problems logging into SIMS Gateway, please EMAIL ICT Support via ictsupport@ratton.e-sussex.sch.uk as we are not able to handle individual telephone enquiries. Please include your childs name and your user name in the message.

Quick start guide for parents :

Click on the Parents Login link above. Ignore the "Click here for Staff Login" message; you are at the parents login area.

Enter your username and password exactly as provided in the welcome letter. When changing your password, please ensure it meets the required complexity (MINIMUM of 8 characters with AT LEAST one uppercase, one lowercase, and one number. Non alphanumeric characters are also allowed).

Once logged in, click the Ratton School link on left hand side. When the Ratton School page appears, click the My Children Dashboard in the menu on the left hand side.

During periods of high usage, you may get a Page Unavailable error, or similar. If so, click the Back button in the browser and try again.

When you have finished using the site, click the drop down by your name in the top right hand corner of the site, and select Sign Out.

Common Problems

Unable to log in : Try typing your username in lowercase, but use the correct mixed case for the password. This sometimes helps.

Changed password but now can't log in : Try logging in with the initial password. Sometimes the system appears to accept your newly created password, but in reality it hasn't. When setting a new password, make sure it meets the criteria for passwords (detailed above).

Cannot display page (or similar) error : Click the "back" button, or refresh the page in your browser. During periods of heavy usage, pages can time out.
